Patch 7 for the PC version is here and can now be downloaded from Steam. We have all the changes of the huge update

It’s patch day on the Sword Coast! Baldur’s Gate 3 has just received its long-awaited Patch 7. We have all the patch notes for you, you can find them on page 2 of this article. Attention, there may be story spoilers in the “Script” sections!

How big is the update? Patch 7 is around 10.6 GB in size on Steam. In addition, a considerable amount of data will be moved around on your hard disk. That’s why you need 160 GB of free space on your hard disk for the installation. This will be released again afterwards

Where are consoles and Mac?According to Larian boss Swen Vincke, the patch should be released “shortly” for platforms other than PC, but now it won’t happen until October. This can be seen from the official blog post

The most important new features in Patch 7

New endings: Long announced, now finally in the game, several new endings for villains. Especially those of you who play as Dark Urge can look forward to new scenes – which are definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Mod Toolkit:The huge toolkit is designed to allow fans to create all kinds of content themselves. A mod manager is now integrated directly into the game, so you can easily download additional content via the main menu. This is what the menu looks like:

Even harder:Honour Mode wasn’t hellish enough for you? Several bosses now have new legendary moves or other nasty tricks up their sleeves to give you a taste of permadeath. If you don’t like it quite so wild, you can now set individual options from the Honor Mode in the Custom difficulty level

Split Screen:If you are playing with two players, the two halves of the screen should now dynamically merge or slide apart, depending on how far apart you are.

The last patch? No! There are still a few features that Larian wants to deliver. Specifically, photo mode and cross-play are mentioned. However, the announcement makes it clear that we are slowly approaching the end of the updates:

We have a few more patches for Baldur’s Gate 3 up our sleeve, which will include cross-play and photo mode as well as other bug fixes and updates. But all stories must come to an end at some point. As Swen said during last week’s PAX West panel in Seattle – our final live panel for Baldur’s Gate 3 – it’s time for the team to return to our cave and hang up the armor as we focus on bringing you our next project.
