Just in time for the start of Season 1, there’s a big patch for CoD Black Ops 6 including Warzone. The patch notes show: the developers are listening to our lamentations.

Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is about to start – and of course the developers don’t miss the opportunity to announce a big patch at the same time. And Dick is the right keyword, because the season update has the gigantic task of transferring all the innovations of Black Ops 6 to Warzone, including the new movement as well as the new weapons and operators.

But the patch notes also show that the patch answers our complaints in the regular multiplayer mode of Black Ops 6, because Treyarch addresses almost all the major issues that are currently getting on our nerves while playing.

For the general changes in Season 1, please check out our overview of the start of Season 1 in Black Ops 6. This is specifically about the patch and its improvements.

Let’s take a look at it.

When will the new patch be released?

The big update will take effect at the same time as the start of Season 1, i.e. from November 14, 2014 at 6 p.m. German time. If you haven’t started the preload yet, you can expect a big download.

The most important innovations in the normal multiplayer of Black Ops 6

The complete patch notes can be found on the official Call of Duty blog, but here are the most important innovations in the regular multiplayer of Black Ops 6:

  • New multiplayer maps: Hideout, Heirloom and Extraction.
  • New weapons: the Krig C assault rifle and the Saug SMG
  • New Perk: Shadow prevents enemy mines and traps from triggering on you.
  • New Mode: In Ransack, you have to grab gold bars from chests and get them to safety before the enemies steal your loot.
  • New Scorestreak: The mighty Hand Cannon from Black Ops 4 returns, giving you a temporary shot at shooting harder than Dirty Harry.
  • The spawns on all maps have been redesigned so that they are no longer a disaster. A blessing.
  • The AEK-973 rapid fire of the has been nerfed, so you no longer shave like a god.

The most important changes in Zombie Mode

Zombie Mode also gets an important update:

  • New Directed Mode: You no longer have to use Google to find out what exactly you have to do on the zombie maps to complete the story.

The fixed spawns in particular address the biggest problem with the current multiplayer of Black Ops 6. The weapon balance works better than in MW2, for example, but the AEK-973 really does need a nerf – and the patch addresses that too. Of course, the question remains as to how well the launch of Warzone will go, because the biggest changes await us there. We’ll keep you posted.
